We regret that this product has been discontinued. USS has had a good run, serving users during the early Windows 95 period when commercial zip utilities tended to lag in this area of functionality. There are now several highly advanced Windows 95/98 utilities that provide the functionality of USS. We will continue to support existing registered, license-paid users until their existing pre-paid support options have expired or been used. To all of our customers, thank you for your patronage.

Fast and Easy Upgrade Management
Update Storage System provides an easy-to-use solution to the problem of how to easily store those increasingly large software updates and shareware packages that you've obtained online. Updates and upgrades often arrive as a set of several large zip files, or as multi-megabyte single-file setup files that install software when you run them. These monster files usually won't fit on single floppy disks, and can't easily be split among floppy disks for backup storage.

A Solution to Storing Large Files
How will you store those increasingly large online update and upgrades for backup purposes? After all, these updates will be needed to "re-update" your original software if you ever want to re-install it. Do you really want to bother buying a costly full-feature zip program just for this purpose? Corporate users especially may be more focused on getting on with the job than in learning how it's done.

You could use the backup utilities that come in Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. But these are not built for small backup sets and are not time-efficient when used this way. And the Windows 95 backup program is painfully cumbersome and tortuously slow when used on floppy disks. Update Storage System is a simpler, faster-working solution!
